| Technikal (UK) (#1 UK HARD PRODUCER)
With his incredible versatility and constant innovation, Technikal (Alf Bamford) is one of the most respected and successful producers in the hard dance world. His extensive back catalogue of produced records are viewed by his fans and peers as some of the very foundations of hard dance music today. Yet still, Technikal strives to push the boundaries of what is expected from a dance floor hit. Incorporating influences from far flung places whilst combining them with the conventional, he has created a unique and club destroying sound of his very own, and is responsible for some of the biggest hard dance records of recent years. With an amassing interest in dance music, Alf began dabbling in the world of music production at a very early age. He had his first record signed at the age of seventeen and has gone on to sell hundreds of thousands of records across the world. Still in his early twenties now, it is fair to say that Alf has written more records and has experienced more success than most other music producers would in a life time. Having worked with some of the biggest and best names in the business such as Lisa Lashes, BK, Rob Tissera, Lost Witness, and many, many more; it is fair to say that Alf’s production talents and ideas are some of the most sought after in the industry. Since 2005, Technikal has also established himself as an internationally performing DJ. Kicking off his DJ career at Heat’s Evolution Birthday event (The Fridg, London, UK) he has since been around the world numerous times, performing as far and wide as Australia, South Africa, North America, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, and many more. This goes hand in hand with having performed at the biggest and best festivals the world has to offer, including Dance Valley, Impulz, Global Gathering, Creamfields, Planet Love and many more. A favourite amongst the pages of high end music publications, Mixmag have given Technikal numerous full page features in the previous years, mentioning him in the same breath as artists such as Deadmau5, sean Tyas and Chase & Status; whilst also deeming him one of the ‘Best of 2008′. It’s unheard of for someone so young to conquer a dance music scene in such a short space of time, but Technikal’s production and DJ prowess is too mighty for the outcome to be anything less than this. STEVE HILL (UK) This pint sized kiwi, nicknamed the King Of Euphoric Hard Dance, has performed over 1500 shows in more than 50 cities worldwide, having visited more than 15 countries along the way. Since 1997, Hill has played to a combined total of 800,000 people, travelled over 600,000km, flown on over 300 planes, and spent over 365days staying in hotels! Production wise, Steve Hill is one of the biggest in Hard Dance. His 200+ productions have appeared on over 500,000 singles, 2,000,000compilation units, and entered the UK Top 75 Single Chart over 9 times. He has remixed 5 UK Top 40 Singles, appeared on over 12 record labels, recorded under more than 10 aliases (Mr. Bishi, Kumara, Neon Lights, Masif DJ’s to name a few), and collaborated with over 15 of the scene’s premier league artists including Technikal, Dark By Design, Rob Tissera, K-Series, MDA & Spherical, Luca Antolini, Cally & Juice, Vandall, Guyver, Paul Maddox. 2009 will be one of the busiest years for Steve Hill. Having celebrated over 10 years in the Hard Dance scene, he will play over 100 gigs, in 12countries, travel over 150,000km and perform to over 125,000 people! He’ll spend over 12,000 minutes performing and spin over 2,500records. Nearly 30 Steve Hill productions will be released in 2009 which will appear on over 10 labels, 75,000 singles, 500,000 compilation units. and downloaded thousands of times. He’ll spend over 800 hours working in the studio. 2009 will also be the year releases one of the biggest artist albums in Dance Music history, “HTML”. “Hard Trance is My Life” will feature 100Steve Hill productions on 4 CD’s which is no mean feat considering each track will have been released commercially as a single previously or in the near future! | DJ Unknown (UK)
Dj Chris Unknown started producing Hardcore in 1993 under the artist name “DJ’s Unknown”, a pseudonym chosen mainly because the recordings contained numerous samples, thus allowing him a certain degree of anonymity! He retained this producing artist name as his performance name for dj-ing, which he has been doing very successfully since 1993. He has dj’d at all the big rave parrties in the UK including Slammin Vinyl, Hardcore Heaven, HTID, Uproar & Fusion, and regularly djs to massive audiences all over the World, particularly in Australia. Chris Unknown first met Dj Sy thirteen years ago when they were both djing at the same rave in 1994. They decided to team up and make a couple of tracks in a local studio (which was the first ever “Sy & Unknown” release, on Hectic Records – “Are You Ready” & “Moments In Time”); the results were so good that the partnership has been a very successful one ever since. Out of this partnership, the label Quosh Records was born later that same year, and now boasts an impressive discography of over 90 releases. As well as his work on Quosh Records, DJ Unknown has produced numerous tracks for other labels together with countless remixes for other artists and record labels. He also delves heavily into other genres within the “dance music” spectrum, most notably his work in the Breaks scene. The latest outlet for the boys’ talents is “Hardcore Euphoria”, released by Ministry Of Sound, available now from HMV & all good music retailers, featuring several recent & forthcoming Quosh Records releases. They also have a good few of their tracks featured on the latest Clubland X-Treme Hardcore 4 compilation, released by Universal Music. This innovative hardstyle duo consists of Sydney locals Corey Soljan and Sam Gonzalez. With both members of this dynamic duo being influenced in dance music from an early age, their dedication to be amongst the best of the industry is certainly paying off. NitrouZ NitrouZ, aka JP Pirrello, is considered to be one of the biggest Hardstyle Talents in Australia. At a young age he was surrounded by music; learning to play the piano and singing in the school choir and other youth choirs. His singing was quite successful, Performing at the openings of some of Sydney’s most prestigious events as well as singing on albums. Dance music had always been a part of his life as his older siblings passed down the music that they so passionately listened to, the music that was heard throughout the clubs at the time. This was also the music that was played at the “all age” events that he attended. When he turned 18 he began to develop his skills as a DJ and became attracted to the pulsing beat of the Harder styles of Dance music. Overwhelmed with his passion for dance music JP decided to follow his dream of becoming a DJ and Producer. He built his own recording studio and is now on the path to his dream. After a number of years of traveling and learning his craft JP is now set to release on Dutch Master Works, one of the World’s Number 1 Hardstyle Labels, home to Showtek, Dutch Master and many more great talents. His first release is a collaboration with his good mate DJ Duro, “Crazy Muzic” and “Distorted Noize”, both tracks are sought after to be played by DJ’s at the highest levels, throughout the world. In 2008 it seemed JP’s dream of becoming a world renowned DJ/Producer AND VOCALIST was finally coming true. He was invited to play at X-Qlusive Showtek at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam and also the prestigious Defqon 1 Festival in Almere Holland, both of which are great honor’s to bestow on any DJ. At the end of 2008 XQ was brought to Australia and again JP was invited to play and he became the only Australian Hardstyle DJ to play at all of these parties. Q-Dance named him Australia’s number 1 Hardstyle DJ. 2009 has also proved to be a successful year. JP was again invited to play at the Q-Dance world tour. He has also been booked to play the main arena at Q-Dance’s first Australian edition of the Defqon 1 Festival. also, he was chosen to do the remix for the Defqon Anthem that DJ Zany created for this event. Nitrouz/JP played alongside and amongst the worlds best DJ’s and continually strives to better his craft. NitrouZ (AKA JP Pirrello) plays a unique blend of Hardstyle sure to keep the crowd moving throughout his entire set. The energy and enthusiasm he brings to the stage shows his absolute suitability to DJing. A set from DJ NitrouZ is never boring. His performance behind the decks ensures his audience a show they won’t soon forget.
