Blackout Fridays brings you yet another massive night of music, DJs and phat pants with some Happy Hardcore all the way from the UK in the form of three huge international acts; Darren Styles, Breeze and Mc Whizzkid. This night promises to be a good one with some of our top Brisbane local DJs on the line up, and Darren Styles’ first return to Brisbane in three years.

With his vast musical knowledge and experimental ability, Darren Styles is one of the biggest names in hard dance music and one of the greatest Hardcore DJs. Originally part of the mighty Force & Styles with hits under his belt such as ‘Pretty Green Eyes’ and ‘Field of Dreams’, Darren soon became one of the biggest names in UK hardcore. He has since collaborated with fellow hardcore producer and DJ Mark Breeze creating tracks like ‘you’re shining’ and ‘Heartbeatz’.

Darren is also responsible along with Breeze and Hixxy, for the biggest selling UK hardcore compilation series – Clubland X-Treme Hardcore which has now racked up sales of over 1 million across its 6 volumes. He is also currently working on the follow up to his debut solo album ‘Skydivin’ which entered the official UK album charts at number 4 and has sold over 200,000 copies to date.
Darren has won a number of hardcore awards during his career recently including ‘Best DJ’ 2006 and 2007, ‘Best Producer’ 2006 and 2008, ‘Best Hardcore Tune’ 2006, 2008 and 2009. Hardforze

Rob is the main man behind the new hard trance sensation HARDFORZE, after recently making his world debut in Sydney back in 2007 he has now played at most of the on going trance clubs around Sydney. Working and releasing solo work through Masif records and also teaming up with Australia’s NO1 man in hard dance Steve Hill, HARDFORZE is a new name to the trance scene but with a lot of hype and experience behind him. Rob has had numerous amounts of releases in the hardcore scene globally under the name Weaver and it very well known around the world for his production, look out for more to come for the new name HARDFORZE!

Toneshifterz

The Toneshifterz are a new Hard-style project born from Sydney’s underground Hard Dance scene.

Elie, Born in Sydney Australia, was raised in a home where music was always present. At an early age of 6 years Elie was found to have exceptional talent in music. Elie went on to Study Audio Engineering in order to further his knowledge in production. Today, he is using his extensive knowledge in music and engineering to Uplift the public with his unique sound and show a different side to his spectrum

Olcay, Born in Sydney Australia, has always had a passion for electronic music. At the age of 13, Olcay began to produce music himself. Without a mentor to guide him, Olcay has taught himself all he knows, and in more recent times, Olcay has been producing UK Hardcore and various other types of dance music. Being the Youngest producer to delve into the Hardstyle scene Olcays future holds many more promising years in the music industry which are yet to come.

The pair came to know each other in the hardcore scene as producers and djs. They then went on to produce hardcore tunes together. But an opportunity arose for the hardcore producers to become something more…to make the switch to the hard-style scene, and ever since then, they have never looked back. Now they have Developed Recognition By artists Such as Zany and Noisecontrollers, and are now preparing to stun the scene with there unique Melodic sounds.

23 April 2010: Important News

Hey everyone.. as some of you would have already heard, Darren Styles, Breeze & Whizzkid will not be touring Australia anymore due to the volcanic blasts.

Powerhouse Productions have done everything they could to bring them over here even if it meant putting them on private jets or flying them over in first class however due to the backlog of flights in and out of UK, it’s made it impossible to schedule a flight.

On behalf of Blackout Fridays, I would like to make a huge apology to everyone. I too am disappointed in the outcome but realistically there’s nothing anyone can do about a natural disaster.

However, this party will still continue and we’ve hired some of Sydney’s finest DJ’s to come out and play Darren Styles & Breeze tribute sets! Instead, we’ll have WEAVER, TEAM ROCKET & DJ PULSAR to showcase all Styles & Breeze tunes such as You’re my Angel, Heartbeatz, Slide Away, Come Running and all the other massive tunes as well as the new Darren Styles tunes featured in his next upcoming album.

For those who have bought a ticket, you will have the opportunity of gaining free entry to our next event which is MAYDAY SUAEDAY on MAY 2nd.

However, if you decide not to come you can keep your ticket and you will gain free entry to our next upcoming International event OR when the next scheduled Darren Styles & Breeze party comes about.
